    3. I have not read any Oscar Wilde for fifty years, so it took some time to get used to the 'old English' style of writing. The story has lost the charm that it had for me, and the other stories took too long to translate to be of any entertainment for me. I do appreciate his creativity and wit, but it is an effort.

    4. Oscar Wilde was very adept at pointing out the irrationalities of human nature. This collection of witty, and sometimes heartwarming, tales show Wilde at his best. From the man who let's a casual comment at a party make him do something unspeakable, to the man who believes true friendship involves letting your friends do things for you, these will keep you entertained, and may even give you a lesson or two.
