I have to say Timid is my favorite book of hers by far I loved Willa and Jackson s story so much Unrequited love Willa Doon has been in love with Jackson Page from the moment she first met him He to move on, as she should have years ago It s in that moment Willa finds the strength to move forward that Jackson truly sees her He wants to get to know her and spend time with her But Willa isn t so sure any Jackson actually has to work for it to get time with her, and I loved that She deserved to be pursued and wanted Jackson has had a hard life He came to Lark Cove to be with the only family he really had He doesn t get too close to anyone It s just the way he is Willa is determined to break those barriers down I love a man who has some issues and is a bit damaged Jackson fits that bill perfectly His back story broke my heart and I can completely understand why he was the way he was I loved him What I truly loved about this book was seeing Willa come into her own She went from being this shy and timid girl to being someone who stood up for herself and fought for the things she wanted She got Jackson to jump through those hurdles and move past some of his trust issues I think what s important is finding a person who makes you better And someone you can trust with your heart And, Jackson I trust you with mine Jackson and Willa s love story was beautiful Denvey Perry did a fantastic job with this story I loved both of the main characters, it brought the feels, and kept me completely invested I can t wait to read from this series She was my courageous champion My warrior basically stole her voice, too, seeing as she can t string together three coherent words when around him.For those same nine years, Willa has not even come close to registering on Jackson s female meter Heck he hasn t even been able to get her name right, always referring to her as Willow Jackson is also known as quite the playboy in the quaint town of Lark Cove. One night Jackson finally notices Willa, which changes their relationship forever Three quarters of the way into the storyline, the plot shifts into suspense mode, which detracted from the romance aspect.I really think there was a missed opportunity for this to have been a great five star read There was huge potential for serious groveling, angst and much needed tension between Jackson and Willa before they got together.Overall a decent read, but it could have been so much flag 98 likesLike see review View all 74 comments Sep 04, 2018 Leo Queen of the Rants and the Crazy rated it did not like it Shelves hero pathetic heroines ever but this author just took number one place And let me tell you I ve read some pathetic ones but damn this woman and author just take the fucking cake Maybe I ll read pathetic heroines than this one but for now the author wins 1 with her pathetic heroines because it s not only one but its all of them she has written so far.Let s start with how our doormat loser and pathetic sweet like some reviewers are calling her Met our delightful hero who she has been crushing since she s been 17 years old He doesn t even noticed her But she writing in her diary the hours and days that she gets to see him She thinks she will marry him one day she ll just has to get him to noticed her.Of course the pathetic author had to write the heroine a virgin, sure let s give the hero a prize why don t we He s a stud who has slept with floozies and bimbos Author s words, not mine I ll insert some quotes here My knees wobbled at that smile Wowzah His soft lips stretched over straight, white teeth His sky blue eyes brightened The smile softened his square jaw just enough that he became a whole different kind of dangerous It was the kind that made me want to do stupid, embarrassing things just to get a fraction of his attention One day, I am going to marry Jackson Page.I just had to get him to notice me first Maybe people in town would merge us into a nickname Will son Jack illa Both were terrible, but I d think of something better tonight I knew that stride No, that swagger. It belonged to the man who d made my heart race and cheeks flush since I was seventeen Hey, Willa Oh My Goodness He d called me by the right name Finally After years of correcting him each time he called me Willow, hearing my name in his deep voice gave me wings No sirree He was still the same playboy he d been for years.Despite all the floozies and bimbos, I d never stopped crushing on Jackson and I d never stopped watching for him It was just easier to do now that I was old enough to go into the bar Still with me So swooning right She gets her first kiss from him Hesitantly, I stroked my tongue against his I had no idea if I was doing this right, but when Jackson moaned into my mouth, I did it again. From there, whatever he did, I copied When he crested his tongue over my top lip, I did the same to his bottom When he nipped at the corner of my mouth, I gave him one right back And when he sucked my bottom lip between his teeth, I waited until his was free, then did the same My first kiss.Something I d avoided for years because I d been waiting for this kiss with Jackson And then he forgets her name and their kiss She s has to be the most memorable kiss he ever had He was drunk and on drugs when he kissed her Let s hear about our stud, shall we He kissed the frozen heroine from book 1 and guess who was front and center watching Yep our sweet doormat heroine It s not about that kiss Though, I wish I hadn t had to witness it firsthand.Thea had invited me to Charlie s sixth birthday, and it took a lot of nerve for me to even attend the party since it wasn t long after Jackson had kissed me and forgotten But I worked up the nerve to see him again because I didn t want to miss Charlie s special day There was nothing quite like the pain of watching your long time crush kiss another woman Still, the mental image of his lips on hers made me nauseous The idea of him and any other woman made my stomach churn.Maybe that was the reason for his appearance last night Had he run out of tourists to bang Was I just next on his conquest list How do you guess Hun That you re next on his conquest list Because a rock has brain than her there were usually a couple of hot women who d come to town every summer looking for some no strings attached sex They were than willing to fuck the rugged Montanan for a few weeks before going back home, never to admit they d slummed it with a bartender on their summer vacation. That worked for me too I got sex without having to worry about some girl becoming a stage four clinger He finds out that the beautiful girl he dreamed about was the pathetic I m getting hot and bothered by this stud That is Willa, you dipshit No fucking way I yanked the pad from her hands Willa The timid blond girl She was the science teacher s daughter and a kid There was no way Willa was this gorgeous woman She doesn t look like this And just when she s ready to move on from her crush, he shows up asking for a date. She said no but at the same time she s drooling after him She dated in her college years A total of 4 men But none of them were him But she waited 9 years, 9 years seeing him with women, 9 years waiting for him to give her the first kiss, 9 years to give him her virginty, 9 years of being in love with this poor excuse of drunk and druggie man How many years had I waited How many months had I wasted All I d ever wanted was for Jackson to take notice, or at least call me by the correct first name.I d just wanted one chance to see if there might be something real between us I wasn t delusional Now you would think after all you had just read it than half of the book, you re wrong This was only the first 80 pages of the book After this hero chased her like a damn lost puppy, heroine tried but failed hard as hell NOT to be a pathetic doormat. After he s trying hard to get the heroine to say yes to a date and getting to know her There s a woman at the bar where she was flirting with him Well he can explain it better than little old me Hey My eyes snapped away from Willa s chest to the woman standing by her side It was the same one who d been flirting with me all night. She had her arms pressed tight to her ribs, forcing her breasts together Out of habit, my gaze dropped to her chest It was like a car accident on the side of the road Those tits got a glance whether you wanted to see the carnage or not Lovely, right Who wouldn t swoon after a man who blatantly checks out another woman in front of the woman he wants to get to know because she s different than the rest of the women he sleeps with I don t care that this book doesn t have any OW OM because if that s all it takes for me to like this book then I would have to feel really sorry for myself because then I ll be just pathetic as the heroine if not But thank goodness I don t get sway by this The rest you don t want to know Or maybe I m just too tired to keep writing about this pathetic woman with a std ridden ass of a hero But I ll leave you with this I was twenty six years old I had kissed one man, after which he d forgotten I d never had a boyfriend or sex I d never been in love. All because I d been waiting for Jackson Page PEACE OUT flag 89 likesLike see review View all 25 comments Sep 05, 2018 Dri rated it One day I am going to marry Jackson Page I just had to get him to notice me first when she first met him at their local service station and he was the hot new comer in town Jackson and Willa Willa and Jackson Our names went together like peanut butter and jelly As the years go by, Twenty six year old Willa silently stands by watching as thirty one year old commitment phobe, Jackson drowns his demons in bimbos, floozies and beer, I wasn t the guy you brought home to meet Daddy. never seeing her patiently waiting in the shadows for the day to come when he ll notice her, the shy girl, the timid girl, that s loved Jackson for many many years But despite all his indiscretions it still didn t dim Willa s crush A stolen first kiss, an unforgettable moment for Willa turns sour in her mouth when the very next day Jackson doesn t even look once in her direction Is it over before it had even begun I really enjoyed Willa s transgression from the timid girl to the girl with a back bone, the girl who fought for those she loved, those she believed in Jackson had me cringing so many times I lost count, the guy was just as clueless as they came, so many times I wanted to slap him upside the head, I really didn t think I d like this character but slowly oh so slowly he even managed to worm his way into my heart After reading and enjoying the first book in this series I couldn t wait to get my hands on this book, the town whore shacking up with the timid mouse, it just calls for all those feels to come at you AND OMG did they come at you I floved this, all the feels in the world, this book was so worth the wait, I loved these two The little twists and turns this took me on just added to how much I didn t want this book to end flag 62 likesLike see review View all 14 comments love makes for an epic romance Willa has been in love with Jackson from the moment she set eyes on him when she was only sixteen and he was the sexy older man who just moved to her small hometown For years she pined over him and he had no clue that she existed Nearly ten years later, Willa has grown into a beautiful young woman and finally, a light bulb goes off in Jackson s head.At first, I was completely engrossed in this story After years of not even noticing Willa, Jackson s eyes have been opened and he s inexplicably drawn to Willa, but he messes up royally and winds up breaking her heart Willa seemed to be a meek character at first, but she actually was pretty fierce and let s just say she definitely made Jackson work to win her affections back. The problem was that once Willa forgave Jackson and let him back into her heart, her meekness came back She became a bland character This had the makings of a five star read for me and that s not to say that I didn t enjoy the book I think it needed a little conflict Issues were resolved too quickly.Overall, there s a healthy dose of steam between the main characters and we even get a bit of mystery and intrigue And if you re a thought she d be she can ROAR One of the best things Devney Perry does is make me stop, think, and challenges me to change my expectations of the characters I suppose I ve got to a stage in reading a romance where I don t expect reality in my books In real life, I wouldn t waste my time on someone I don t think appreciates me In real life, I wouldn t silently take the blows and walk away to contemplate, cry or hide In real life, I would SCREAM to know why, demand to be heard and make it known how I feel then I would walk away to contemplate, cry or hide This Timid one screamed NO , she would not walk away from love, she did not give up and she wanted her voice to be heard.I admired Willa and came to appreciate her quiet ways Yes, her voice shook when she met with her boss, Logan, who is extremely good looking, rich and successful, I think I would be intimidated too Sure, she probably crushed on Jackson for longer than I ever would, but she saw something in him that a lot of people missed I loved that she stood up for herself and refused to be used or looked over Her loyalty, love for her family and determination to do right proved she was a good woman I ve never said this about another character Willa is someone that I would want my sons to fall in love with.Jackson Page did not deserve Willa Doon at first He didn t deserve Willa Doon at the halfway mark, either By the end Jackson Page was the best man for Willa Doon, I loved him and I wanted him to give Willa Doon babies Oh boy, he had his work cut out for him changing my squinty eyed glare to fluttery eyed love you s I can t help but like in a jealous of good looking people way that Jackson had some insecurities I think I would find it hard to love a perfect man Luckily for us, Jackson is FAR from perfect.I loved Timid Seriously, Devney Perry has become one of my favourite contemporary romance authors Her characters, storylines and settings take you out of your comfy reading chair into someone else s backyard I m not expected to believe in the unbelievable, I don t have to leave my brain in the other room to ignore stupidity and I can just sit back and enjoy a good story It s not always easy for Willa and Jackson, but their journey is so worth the effort If you haven t visited Lark Cove yet, I suggest you do NOW With that little teaser at the end I need Tragic right now There s a of calm and an undeniable love when I step into the world she creates for us to enjoy She has such a natural talent for telling a story that makes me feel absolutely everything and for bringing to life characters that are always so relatable, real and so beautifully flawed If I had to choose a favorite Devney Perry book I have read, I would have to rate Timid as that book Willa has had a crush on Jackson from the first moment she ever laid eyes on him To her there is no one on this earth beautiful and these feelings have lasted since she first met him when she was a teenager at a gas station with her father There is something monumentally heartbreaking about having an undeniable attraction towards someone and having them not return the attraction, not even really noticing you exist What is even worse is they can t even remember your name All Willa seeks in this life is for Jackson to notice her and reciprocate the intense feelings she has for him Many years have gone by since that first encounter between Willa and Jackson and poor Willa has had to stand idly by as the playboy of the town worked his way through booze and a multitude of women He has never once paid any attention to the timid and shy Willa, who is waiting for the day Jackson will eventually notice her The moment Willa has been waiting for eventuates when she shares the most earth shattering, soul searching kiss with the man who she has loved for years Could this be the turning point in their non existent relationship Will Willa finally have what she has always wanted since her teens and will all her dreams finally come true Unfortunately things are not always that simple A moment that was so special for Willa soon turns into heartache once when Jackson still doesn t return those intense feelings Do you have any idea how long I d been waiting for you to notice me How many times I d walked into the bar and wished you d finally just see me Then you did and I was so happy And then you forgot Willa was the kind of character I positively love she possesses so much warmth, love, growth and development She started out as such a timid and shy girl, but turned into a woman who could absolutely hold her own against the best of them Being quite shy and timid myself, I could really relate to her and the struggles she endured Willa without a doubt is my favorite character of Devney s to date Jackson, while I did grow to love him, absolutely frustrated me at times I wanted nothing than to smack some sense into him initially, but the I read, the I learnt about him, the I grew to love him, like I knew I would He avoids commitment at all costs and uses alcohol and women to fill a void within his life, but maybe the timid girl is all he s been searching for Why couldn t he see everything I had hoped for and so much it was relatable, it was emotional and it definitely bought on all the feels imaginable I absolutely loved this story and Devney without a doubt has become one I am surprised that I didn t feel this book as much as usual, because usually I fall in love with anything and everything that this author writes Timid is the second book in the Lark Cove series, and this story follows Willa and Jackson through their fall into love Willa was a character that kind of stumped me She was introduced when she was 17 and she first sees Jackson in a convenience storefrom there she basically falls in love lust with him, and her crush lasts for 9 years from afar Jackson on the other hand doesn t even notice Willa is alive He is 5 years older than her and he is also a manwhore He doesn t feel he deserves any kind of HEA, or a lady of worthso he sticks to slumming it The thing is, when he does start to open his eyes to how gorgeous Willa isI just don t feel that attraction at all Maybe because it is based on the surface, not on who she is as a person Truthfully, Willa didn t much appeal to me in anyway either She seemed very young for her age, and yesshe was a virginnot that it should matter but she just came across as mediocre to me So I didn t buy that Jackson was all of a sudden in awe of her Anyway, I don t mean to come across as all negative, because the second half of the book did save me from totally disliking the book I do enjoy this series, as it features all of the towns people in Lark Cove and I am a sucker for small town stories I really enjoy them, and there are some very likable characters in this town Hopefully the next book will be a little exciting than this one Thank you Steph for reading this with me I know you were a bit bored years later those dreams have become a bit tarnished but when the most hurtful thing imaginable happens, they are no longer simply dulled by time, they are decimated.Jackson has less than a handful of people in his life he calls family Now things are changing and he doesn t like it He is struggling against the inevitability that one of those he holds closest to his heart will leave him behind It won t be the first time However, when his eyes turn to Willa he finds himself adjusting to changes easier than he imagined Unfortunately, he still can t figure out why she s so angry with him and thereby continues to refuse his invitations for a date My heart hurt for Willa and her broken heart even as I ranted at Jackson for being a blind jerk She was so sweet and kind, never cursing, never speaking a bad word about anyone and very, very timid Talk about unrequited love Willa was the walking talking example of it However, I cheered for her as she stood up for herself and made Jackson work for that first date as well as each time she found the strength to fight for what she wanted Her transformation from the timid good girl into a woman who stood like a lion for what she wanted was freaking awesome I would like to say that I loved everything about Jackson, but the truth is, I didn t He could be quite the jerk face Willa claimed at times but even through his less stellar actions, he was always very real And I did love that When he finally opened his eyes and saw what was in front of him, I was thrilled at his hot and persistent chase for what he wanted He never wavered in his attempts to gain that date, to know that girl, to have it all if only for a little while And that is when my heart truly cried for him Jackson was so broken from his past that he couldn t fathom a future He didn t even know what the words felt like on his tongue So, yes, I started out judging him for his actions but ended up falling as deeply in love with him as Willa While this book didn t have the high drama this author s previous books have contained, it did have a higher angst level and I swear to all that is holy that my heart literally cracked a time or two as this couple struggled through their issues With its sharp writing style this was a relatively fast read with no repetitious inner musings The secondary characters all played their parts to perfection, constantly moving the story forward, supporting the hero or heroine or showcasing their character development And the heat level was immense, even as it highlights the transformations in the hero and heroine s relationship Jackson fondly from book one in this series where we learnt of snippets of his childhood He s a gorgeous mountain man with endless loyalty and a protective instinct However, he s also a bit of an arse and a womanizer Jackson had to work hard to win the love he wholeheartedly deserves but once he lost his blinkers he made sure he didn t let it slip away and we loved him for it One day, Willa would wonderful, it doesn t come easy and has to be worked for by both Jackson and Willa It did lose its way for us for a while after a strong beginning, however, it grabbed us again with a powerful twist we never saw coming, and an end that was just perfect What we really loved about this story is the strength of the female character in Willa and the vulnerability in Jackson Devney Perry is a life changing moment that he unfortunately does indeed forget After years of watching and waiting and hoping, Jackson had finally noticed me Me, the shy girl who d loved him from a distance Since Willa s return to Lark Cove she has born witness to Jackson s habit of drinking and indulging in willing women He has never settled down with anyone, preferring a non commitment lifestyle When Jackson starts having flashbacks of a beautiful girl, he thinks it is a dream The night he was Willa is slowly coming back to him but it takes some direction from Thea to truly wake him up to the girl who has been noticing him for years I d known Willa for years I d seen her face Yet, still, I d missed her How had I missed her When Jackson Page comes a knocking on Willa s door she does not want a bar of him How could he have no memory of what was the most special night of her life thus far Is she really that invisible to him Well it seems not any longer, his eyes and senses have been opened wide and he is determined to get Willa to see he is sincere.I have to say, I love how the usually timid Willa stood up for herself and made Jackson work for her company and friendship As the relationship deepens and feelings come into play Jackson seems to have one foot in the door and one foot out It s beginning to feel a bit too serious for him and maybe cutting his losses before things go to far with Willa needs to happen sooner rather than later. When Jackson s past come crashing back into town, everything in his life changes and he begins to withdraw What he didn t count on was the strength that emerges from Willa She knows that she is meant to be with Jackson Page and she is not giving him up or letting him go for all the tea in China She will fight for both of them if that s what it takes to make him understand that not everyone he loves will abandon him I absolutely loved this second book in the Lark Cover series Small town romance, an element of mystery, secrets and one became the family he has always wanted Jackson has a hard time trusting and believing in love and this really broke my heart for him.Willa has always crushed on him from afar and while I grew to love her as the story continued because of her strength and ability to love, my problem with this story was this unconditional love she had for Jackson despite never really knowing him or talking to him I don t typically love virgin stories and while I appreciated the romance behind it and Willa always wanting her first and last to be Jackson, I didn t really understand how she would save herself for him when she didn t really know him I had a hard time connecting to these characters and some parts felt too farfetched and unbelievable I didn t feel their connection and I wanted to so badly. What I was doubly excited for Timid because I just knew that Willa and Jackson had a story to tell I loved how Perry wove the first book into this one, because their stories happened simultaneously, so it was a nice overlap, but she didn t do it too much that it made me feel like the narrative was on repeat A peek into Logan and Thea s world and what was going on with Charlie was definitely a bonus for me I loved visiting with them throughout the book Willa was a very independent, but also very shy young lady that didn t really have a bold bone in her body She went with the flow and was very easy going But if you looked deep within, there was a certain strength to her insecurity and her innocence had a sort of sass to it So, mix some shyness with some sassy and you have Willa However, at times she almost felt like the had the emotional stability of a very self conscious 15 year old girl while having the structure and mentality of a very organized businesswoman I had a hard time reconciling those two personalities in the beginning, but she grew on me It didn t bother me that she was shy or timid I m so going to say that a million times because that s the perfect word for her , because growing up in Lark Cove, she really was the true definition of a small town girl She was very na ve in some ways and that added to the purity of her innocence, but it also made me sigh a few times knowing that as a grown adult, that s not how I would have handled things But again, knowing she was a timid, sweet gal in a very small town, it worked for her Jackson was portrayed one way, but his inner demons showed another side to him I liked the complexity of his character and the way he had to work through his self doubt, but I also wanted to shake him and ask him why he thought that way I really liked seeing him finally realize who Willa was and subsequently falling for her He had some twists thrown at him, and nothing I would have ever guessed, but with a little read A LOT of help from Willa, seeing his character grow was definitely the reward in this book His struggles were honestly the most heartfelt part about the book for me While Jackson and Willa had a worthy story to tell, it took a long while for me to settle into it, and that made me quite sad It was rather odd for me because I was easily enjoying the story, but something just wasn t clicking for me It took me until right around the 70% mark to actually settle in I want to stress the fact that I enjoyed the book very much, but I wasn t immediately enad with it I guess this one was just a little on the slower and sweeter side for me than I had anticipated All in all, this was a very sweet story of where there s a will, there s a way Love was going to find a way amongst all the torment and preconceived notions a certain someone held Admittedly, this wasn t my favorite book of hers that I ve read, but I still enjoyed it overall I would like to add that she is a brilliant closer She can a world like today, when everything is so outhere, and people are so free to explore so many things, being introverted and recluse like Willa, living as she did about her experiences or lack of them, was empowering and raw and so beautiful In a world where you have to have lived everything as soon as you reach maiority or even before , being like Willa is a shock and you hardly ever find there in books And it was so refreshing, so beautiful, so touching that it got me glued to the book from the very first page Willa is this sweet, shy, Timid girl that is in love with the same guy and waiting Hazel, Thea and Charlie , but even that family seems to be in jeopardy with the arrival of Logan Tattered So he doesn t know how to hold on to love He only knows how to expect rejection and abandonment You love me and it scares you to death Not because you re worried that you ll leave me But because you re terrified I ll leave you, just like everyone else has always done I wanted to keep her Forever Yould she stay Would Willa be that one person to stick Yes She was my courageous champion My warrior My lover My friend My everything Willa was the one But when his eyes are finally open, when finally see the girl of his dreams, literally, he realises that love can be learnt when you have the right teacher, and that love is something to hold tight and cherishjust like he does with his and given me a love I d cherish always The blooming of their love was poignant, unexplicable, exquisite It was real and raw, it gave so much hope and I felt like my heart was full the whole time By the end, it was as if I wasn t reading a book, it was as if I just saw all of those feelings in real life, because I was feeling all of them and all at once If there were ever two people who deserved to be loved unconditionally with everything they got, these two people were Jackson and Willa Do you love me And when you think they are finding a path of their ownG What turn of events I had NO idea that was about to happen well, there were actually two big things I wasnt exactly waiting for and it was so amazing. And everything changed, when everything got uneven and complicated, that was when they proved how strong was their love Willa is not a person into confrontation, but she definitely knows how to choose her battles and who to fight for So when you see sweet, timid Willa fighting for big loving broody Jackson, and when you see Jackson giving everything of him to love her back, you either keep reading, sucking on every word, or you stare into space daydreaming about true love I m not much of a fighter and I rarelu stand up for myself But I m standing uo for you I ll fight for you Thank you For what For being a fighter I m not But I ll always fight for you Why me Because you re you And right now, I m so frustrated, because I keep rambling and rambling and rambling about this book, and it seems to me that is not enough No matter how many words I write, it wont make justice to all the perfection that was this book and this story Willa Doon, I love you You re the reason I smile every day You re the best friend I ve ever had You re my everything And I want to be yours I want to make every dream you ve ever had come true I reached to its end with my soul light, my heart full and a smile on my face And from now on, as timid as a heart might be, Love blossoms even when you can t see it and dreams can come true It was jut her and me Just us She wouldn t find another man to make her dreams come true I was her dream and hse was mine flag 12 likesLike see review Aug 29, relationship between them is what will ultimately bring you to your knees I m not bold Or daring But you you were my risk Willa Doon might ve been be the shy, timid girl who had a crush on Jackson for the longest time, but she has this fire and spirit in her that s unmistakable, admirable and downright alluring I loved how she was so real, how she was effortlessly beautiful inside and out, and her sheer determination when it comes to the kids and the summer camp she directs and oversees She s the perfect epitome of hope and joy The only girl who can tame and complement Jackson and his broken, wayward self She just utterly filled my heart with so much light and happiness Why couldn t he see what I saw He was a wonderful man with flaws I wasn t blind He wasn t perfect But he was perfect for me. Jackson Page completely owned me by the end of this book I loved how much effort he put into courting and wooing and breaking down Willa s walls How he groveled for the fact that he s been as clueless as the day he was born when it came to this girl and her massive infatuation with him He might ve missed her and looked past her for so many years, but he definitely tried his best to make up for it And He grabbed the opportunity to make Willa feel as if the sun rose and set on her by the frigging balls When he finally opened his eyes to see what or rather, who has been standing in front of him all along, he never stopped until he got close enough to get to know her for real She looked at me like I was a king The adoration in her eyes had nothing to do with my face or body She saw straight to my center, and it was the sexiest thing I d ever seen. I don t think I ve cheered on characters than I have Willa and Jackson They were so cute and funny, they just had me right from the get go Their relationship and the way it developed into something so much sent tingles from the tips of my hair down to my toes, and their love was so profound and powerful and raw, there was no way you won t feel it deep in your bones You re the best kiss I ve had in my life Timid is absolute perfection I honestly didn t expect any less from this author, this book, nor these characters It made everything in me downright woogidy, and had butterflies fluttering madly in my stomach It was just all so sweet and heart melting Yet another brilliant and unforgettable addition to Devney Perry s Lark Cove series.Follow me on Instagram Facebook Twitter flag 13 likesLike see review Aug 24, 2018 Bookgasms Book Blog rated it it was amazing Shelves shelly, missy Oh My Goshhhh, you guys Timid is my favorite Devney Perry book yet And that s saying something because Devney Perry writes dang good books But this one oh my this one felt like something special. It starts with a delicious, perfectly executed slow burn My heart ached for these two I was breathless with anticipation Willa and Jackson were under my skin immediately They made me smile and laugh, and filled my belly with those delightful butterflies I always crave I adored everything ab Oh My Goshhhh, you guys Timid is my favorite Devney Perry book yet And that s saying something because Devney Perry writes dang good books But this one oh my this one felt like something special. It starts with a delicious, perfectly executed slow burn My heart ached for these two I was breathless with anticipation Willa and Jackson were under my skin immediately They made me smile and laugh, and filled my belly with those delightful butterflies I always crave I adored everything about them, and the sparky chemistry that crackled and heated while they found their way towards each other. And then the emotion explosion GAH Once these two got together, my heart never even stood a chance They re both so perfectly written, their stories so beautifully told, I was under their spell from start to finish I loved how Willa was written I loved her fierce warrior core, masked by this sort of soft, pliable exterior demeanor I loved that her love story with Jackson didn t play out exactly in the way I sort of anticipated it was going to I loved that she zigged when I thought she would zag I am so crazy about her And Jackson Hoo boy It s no secret that I m a sucker for wounded heroes with a heart of gold And Jackson fit that bill to a tee I loved how he evolved over the course of this story I loved watching him come alive I adored the way he adored Willa He filled my heart to bursting and I didn t ever want it to end.Honestly these two THIS BOOK. I could ramble on for hours about every little thing I loved, but the bottom line is that I loved the whole thing It s romantic and suspenseful and full of these little emotional twists that took my heart on a wild ride Timid is easily my new favorite from this author, and an absolute five star read Shelly, 5 Stars Good golly, I developed a massive girl crush on Willa Doon in Tattered and I was so excited to read her story in Timid and I was not disappointed I love Willa s quiet strength, her sense of self, and her strong willed personality But I also loved the soft spot she held for her family, friends and kids Oh, and her unrequited love of Jackson Page She s been in love with the man since laying eyes on him as a teen Little did Jackson realize, Willa is now all grown up and she s not an awkward teen any.Jackson God love you and your ignorance One of the best scenes in this both Tattered and Timid is Jackson s realization that Thea s drawing is truly Willa Talk about an eye opener I truly loved the relatively slow burn of this romance between Willa and Jackson I loved how Willa made him work for it to woo her And how in doing so, truly developed a strong, amazing love Even if Jackson had a bit of trouble recognizing love and family and friends and how much he really deserved and wanted it I couldn t read Timid fast enough to see how Willa and Jackson s romance unfolded And I finished with a big old smile on my face It s such a fun, flirty, swoony, sexy read I am loving this excellent Lark Cove series and cannot wait to see what happens next in Tragic Missy, 4.5 stars flag 12 likesLike see review previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 next new topicDiscuss This Book There are no discussion topics on this book yet Be the first to start one Share Recommend It Stats Recent Status Updates Readers Also Enjoyed devneyperryConnect with Devney Facebook Other books in the series Lark Cove 4 books Books by Devney Perry More Trivia About Timid Lark Cove, No trivia or quizzes yet Add some now Quotes from Timid Dealing with the bullshit is how you know it s real It s easy to love someone when times are good Real love is about holding on to one another when times aren t 2 likes Do you have any idea how long I d been waiting for you to notice me How many times I d walked into the bar and wished you d finally just see me Then you did and I was so happy And then you forgot 1 likes More quotes renderRatingGraph 1580, 1377, 484, 94, 34 if rating_details rating_detailssert top rating_graph Company About us Careers Terms Privacy Help Work with us Authors Advertise Authors ads blog API Connect 2019 , Inc Mobile version
