    1. The book “Bank Job” by James Heneghan, is an adventurous book that tells the story about three kids who belong to foster parents who are poor. Through the book, the author does a good job of using detail, and creating a picture during the scenes inside the book. The main character Nell, has basically lived in foster home for her whole life, joins a group of kids, and they decide to rob banks to raise money for their own foster parents. The other kids; Tom, Lisa, and Billy, all have horrible p [...]

    2. Recommended for gr. 6-9. Nell, known as Nails (as in "hard as nails") lives in a foster home with two foster brothers and a younger foster sister. Compared with some of the homes she has lived in before, this one is like a real family. Unfortunately, Joseph and Janice, her foster parents, are just scraping by financially and have been told that they need to install another complete bathroom to continue to qualify to keep four foster children. Nell and the two boys come up with a plan to rob bank [...]

    3. My son read this book. He read 3 books this summer. He said this was the best of the three. He liked the action. It's about 3 kids who are in a foster home, and their home needs a new bathroom. The foster parents can't afford it. The kids decide to help them out, to get $10,000 in six months is by robbing banks. The first bank is successful and get over $1,000. The second isn't, but they rob over seven. Then one of the kids says he can't do it anymore and tells the foster parents. They go to the [...]

    4. Thirteen-year-old Nell (who goes by "Nails") and her two teenage foster brothers have each lived through hard times, so they are grateful to have a good foster home now. Disaster strikes when the social worker tells the Hardys, their foster parents, that their home does not meet the new government regulations. They must add another bathroom or get rid of two kids. Unfortunately, the bathroom addition would cost ten thousand dollars, and the Hardys don't have any extra money. The bank won't give [...]

    5. Would be enjoyed by students in grades 5 to 7. Focuses on three teenagers who decide to rob banks in an effort to raise money to fix a bathroom so that they won't be removed from the home of loving foster parents by the authorities. The characters are a little wooden but believable. Apparently, the novel was inspired by real life events in Vancouver (which is where the novel takes place). The dialogue is not exactly scintillating.

    6. It's really not as bad as some people say it is. It was actually quite good. It's about a girl and her foster family that need more money so they start to rob banks. The kids aren't very smart and kind of annoying in that way but overall it was pretty good.

    7. i thought this book was boring and that nothing exiting happened. I know this because they kept robbing a bank and don't get caught.i don't know how they don't get caught but it happens. i don't know why they would rob a bank and risk going to jail my appinion this book sucks!

    8. This book was a lot better than I thought it would be. I think it's interesting that it was based on real events.
